Can you please help me with my bathroom?.?
We just bought an old house with lots of windows, wood floors etc... l do
not know if my bathroom is too vintage to go modern. The tub is not a claw
foot, but it is vintage. How should l decorate it?. The rest of my house is
different shades of grey, and pink, and chrome accents. l
thought about slate for the tub surround, but I am having second thoughts.
Should l just keep it light?. The floor is painted a light grey already. There is real wood under the sub floor, but my husband does not wanna bother with it, and l do not really want tile over it because it is hard on my feet. l have a bare white bathroom that needs help now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Well first of all wat ever u do keep it traditional. go with
the hardwoods and blue and green look really good in bathrooms
Tile is fine, a throw rug will keep your feet warm. Its the
easiest to maintain and tolerates the moisture. I'd definitely stay with
the feel of the entire house. Whatever period or feel your house has,
stay with that in your decorating scheme throughout the whole house. The
best decorated homes carry the same theme throughout and work with the
period of the home. Unless you are a professional, mixing it up is
difficult to do.
for the bathroom, go with an aquatic underwater ocean theme -
blue, purple, violet, light green, turquoise, silver.plus these colors
make the bathroom look really big and beautiful ...good luck =)
Don't use real slate in a place with water - it will stain.
Use a standard ceramic tile - there are lots with slate colors and the
same ''rough'' finishes.
